I'm Kyle Reaburn, and I'm running for Trustee on the Upper Grand District School Board because I believe every student in our community deserves a board that truly listens.

As a long-time resident of Guelph with deep roots in our community, I have seen firsthand how our schools serve as the heartbeat of our neighbourhoods. My commitment to public education is driven by a simple belief: every child deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where they can reach their full potential.

As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand how decisions made in the boardroom ripple into our classrooms, and I know that meaningful change starts with showing up and listening. I am committed to bringing that collaborative, solution-oriented approach to the Board, ensuring that every student in the Upper Grand District School Board is set up for success.

My vision is one of excellence, inclusivity, and deep community connection. I am proud to have initiated a motion to formally honor our local Olympians, celebrating their dedication and resilience as an inspiration to our youth. Furthermore, I am actively working to invite astronaut Jeremy Hansen to speak to our students, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with a leader whose journey, from our own backyard to the stars, demonstrates that with ambition and grit, there are no limits to what our students can achieve.

A foundational element of a successful school system is ensuring that our learning environments are both safe and accessible. I am dedicated to championing policies that prioritize the health and well-being of every student, ensuring that schools remain secure, inclusive spaces for all. This includes advocating for reliable, efficient student transportation that meets the diverse needs of our families. I believe that getting to school should be safe and stress-free, and I am committed to working with our partners to ensure that our service models remain responsive, equitable, and focused on the students who rely on them every day.
